BRENDAN Taylor has made a comeback to the Chevrons white ball side after being named in the 16-man squad for the upcoming two-match OneDay International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka, set to take place from 29 to 31 this month at the Harare Sports Club.
Under the leadership of captain Craig Ervine, the squad, which was announced by Zimbabwe Cricket yesterday, showcases a blend of experienced players and promising newcomers, reflecting Zimbabwe’s strategic shift from the longer format of the game.
Having played seven test matches since their last ODI in February, the team will have to quickly adapt to the fast-paced nature of limited-overs cricket.
Key players like middleorder stalwarts Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza are also in the squad, as are bowling specialists Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani.
The squad also sees the inclusion of Clive Madande, Tony Munyonga, Brad Evans and uncapped seamer Ernest Masuku.
