ZIMBABWE’s leading independent national television station, 3Ktv, is continuing to cement its position as a trusted and reliable partner for many of the country’s top companies and organisations.
This comes as the station has once again teamed up with the Women’s University in Africa (WUA) to beam live the premier institution of higher education’s eagerly-anticipated graduation ceremony tomorrow.
This is the fourth consecutive year that 3Ktv is partnering with WUA to air in real time the prestigious convocation to multitudes of viewers across the country and beyond.
WUA Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations, Simbayi Gwatura, expressed his delight yesterday about the “firm and symbiotic relationship” between the university and 3Ktv.
“Preparations for our much-awaited 21st graduation ceremony are well under way, with more than 1 600 graduates expected to be capped on Friday.
“We are very happy with our ongoing partnership with 3Ktv. The station’s ethos and national reach align with our vision and communication needs,” he said.
Zweli Sibanda, Jester Media Services’ (JMS) Managing Director for the fast-growing multimedia group’s Broadcasting Division, was equally elated about the continuing collaboration between 3Ktv and WUA.
“It’s most pleasing to see an important and distinguished tertiary institution like WUA and other valued business partners continuing to trust 3Ktv with their key events.
“Indeed, 3Ktv remains the TV platform of choice in the country for dozens of businesses and organisations that want to reach their key stakeholders on the small screen and to showcase their brands, work and achievements.
“3Ktv will once again broadcast live WUA’s graduation ceremony this year with the highest quality and level of professionalism that is fully deserving of this celebratory and august event,” Sibanda said.
“To those businesses and organisations that are not yet au fait with 3Ktv, there are many advantages to joining hands with us and exposing your work and brands through the television station.
“3Ktv provides a powerful combination of mass reach, visual storytelling, unparalleled brand building capacity and remarkable affordability — allowing businesses to optimally create lasting impressions, connect emotionally with viewers and to achieve increased brand loyalty and sales.
“The station also gives our business partners and advertisers the ability to target specific audiences and demographics, which means that their messaging can be tailored to reach the audiences that are most interested in the showcased products and services,” Sibanda added.
3Ktv, which was licensed in November 2020 after coming tops in a competitive and public bidding process, went on air amid palpable excitement on February 28 in 2022 — in the process becoming the first licensed private commercial station to operate in the country since television was first introduced in the then Southern Rhodesia in November 1960.
Apart from the television station, JMS also owns some of the country’s biggest and most influential media brands that include the Daily News, the Daily News on Sunday, its printing division Printco, Jester Events, online business newsletter Business Live, and The Financial Gazette — the country’s number one business publication.
