Moisturising treatments a must for skin

Besides the normal places to exfoliate like your face, legs and arms, have you remembered to exfoliate your neck? Exfoliating your neck is often ignored. If you exfoliate it, it will give you a fresher look.
What about your elbows and knees?
I remember all too well what it felt like to have cracked, flaky elbows. It hurt to have dry skin in this area. Knees need to look polished too. You could be wearing that killer red dress, but when your dry knees peak out, it completely takes away from how gorgeous you look.
What about your feet?
Have you looked at your heels lately? This is something that needs to be taken care of daily, as dry cracked heels look pretty on no one. You need to exfoliate your feet. What about your lips? You can’t have a great pucker if they are scaly and peeling.
Some of the benefits of exfoliating are:
l Its ability to improve texture of your dull skin, making it more vibrant.
l Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
l Sloughs off the dead skin cells your body has shed.
l Unclogs pores.
l Keeps skin healthy, thus helping to prevent break-outs.
l Helps retain your tan when you exfoliate before slapping on the sunscreen.
You will notice a tremendous difference in your skin’s softness and moisture retention if you simply follow a routine of exfoliating one to two times per week. Exfoliates can be grouped for face and body. Clarins offers the Gentle Facial Peel, Gentle Exfoliating Refiner and the One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser for the Facial department.
In the body department, the New Smoothing Body Scrub, Tonic and Relax Body Polishers and the Eau Dynamisante body scrub are exfoliates that have been formulated by Clarins to polish and replenish your skin for that supple sexy look.

Dehydrated skin
Dehydration is the loss of water in the body, sometimes severe enough to cause shock since the human body is composed of 75 percent water. To address this problem you first need to know its main cause. Several factors like the environment, weather, health situation, or lifestyle is making the skin dry. Some of them are easily remedied and others will take more time and effort.
To avoid dehydration, you should drink at least eight glasses of water a day, approximately 64 ounces of water, more in really hot weather. If you do not get enough water in the body, dehydration may set in.
The eight glasses do not include other beverages you drink during the day, such as tea, coffee, milk, soda or juice. These beverages should be limited in intake since some of them may further dehydrate your skin and contribute to other skin conditions, such as acne.
Treatment
Correcting dehydrated skin begins with faithfully completing your daily skin care ritual. Be sure to cleanse, tone, and moisturize twice a day — morning and evening. Try using moisturisers especially meant for dehydrated skin such as the Clarins Hydra Quench Range. When dealing with body concerns in relation to dryness then Moisture Rich Body lotion is the key to your worries. This lovely cream addre-sses dryness on elbows, knees and heels.
On a dietary note take essential fatty acids, those found in fish oil capsules or flax seed oil, every day. Take about 10 capsules or two tablespoons. They will make your skin soft and supple. Eat five to 10 servings of vegetables and fruits daily, or at least two with each meal.

Improve blood circulation
Full body massage can produce multiple benefits for your health.
These benefits go far beyond an hour spent in relaxing quietly, escaping the day.
If you are already ill or suffering from constant fatigue or pain, then full body massage can play a big part in your treatment. A full body massage helps to improve blood circulation and blood becomes more easily transportable to the vital organs in your body. This is vital for smooth functioning of your internal body parts.
In addition, when blood is supplied to areas that have been injured before, repair and renewal of cells and tissues take place more easily. Combined with conventional medicine and other therapies, repeat sessions of full body massage can do much to accelerate your recovery.
Other than improved blood circulation, here are other benefits that you can expect to experience from a full body massage.
 Stimulated lymph system
 Stimulated immune system
 Relaxed muscles
 Reduced cramps
 Increased flexibility
lReduced recovery time
l Released endorphins
l Reduced post-operative scar tissue and edema
l Reduced migraine pain
l Improved range of motion
l Reduced depression
l Shortened labour and delivery in expectant mothers
“Moisturise” by definition literally means to add moisture.
Maintaining well moisturized facial skin is the cornerstone of any anti-aging skin rejuvenation regimen.
As we age, the skin has a tendency to become drier, gradually losing its ability to maintain moisture.
Moisturising treatments for your skin are an absolute MUST!
Skin that is kept well moisturized has a healthy glow, and remains soft and supple as opposed to the characteristics of dried out skin.
Just think of it this way.
If a grape or actually anything else is deprived of moisture it will dry out and shrivel up into an extremely wrinkled and dried out husk.  Not a very pretty image but true.
To maximize the absorption of the moisturiser, stimulate the skin cells by lightly tapping the skin’s surface after applying in an upwards, sweeping circular motion.
Aging skin, especially dry skin, benefits from anti-aging moisturising treatments that are applied in intervals throughout the day. Clarins offers the Extra-Firming range for ladies in their 40s and the Super Restorative Range for ladies going into their 50s and beyond.
Remember, if you spend any time in the sun, be sure the moisturising treatments you select contain an adequate sunscreen ingredient to protect your skin from damage.
