Itai escapes, again

M-Net
MONDAY night’s nomination show on M-Net’s ultimate game show, Big Brother Revolution, left Moza-mbique’s Leonel and Nigeria’s Kevin up for eviction as the dramatic race for the US$200 000 prize gets hotter and hotter.

After a day of nominations, which saw twists and turns as alliances melted away, Big Brother named Leonel and Itai as the eviction candidates this week. Edward, who is head of house for the second consecutive week, was then summoned to the diary room to make his switch.
His decision to save Itai and replace him with Kevin came as a surprise to many viewers as he had nominated Itai in the first place!
The nominations revealed serious insecurity and a lack of trust between the eight remaining housemates.
Head of house Edward nominated Itai because of his constant talk about how much he misses his girlfriend. His second nomination was for Leonel, for whom he thought it was time to “walk the plank”, as he had not yet been nominated.
Geraldine based her nominations on trust, citing Itai and Leonel as the least trustworthy housemates. She and Itai have fought nearly every day, which influenced her decision heavily. Nkenna also named Itai and Leonel, basing her decision on the suspicion that they had nominated her last week, with Itai the chief instigator.
Itai’s insecurities shone through when he nominated Leonel, who he believes is trying to turn the other housemates against him behind his back. His second nomination went to Emma, because he feels he interacts least with her out of all the remaining housemates.
After nominations were completed, Leonel led the way with five, followed by Itai with four. Nkenna and Geraldine received two nominations each, while Mzamo, Emma and Edward received one each. Kevin — up for eviction this week after Edward replaced Itai with him — did not receive a solitary nomination!
Meanwhile, last Sunday saw Tanzania’s Elizabeth sent packing from the Revolution house in the ninth live eviction show leaving just eight housemates in the running.
Elizabeth revealed that she was not shocked at being evicted because of her role in ending Edward’s twin brother Erastus home.
“Twin power, you know? It’s only a game and you have a good chance of being up for eviction,” she said. “You either get evicted or you win!”
Show host, IK, asked her about the most difficult part of being in the house, to which she replied “I don’t want to say — it’s really personal, but I will say that I’ve learnt a lot about myself in the house and I know my mom is proud of me,” she said.
She felt that her time in the house had taught her to “let things go” and that it was possible to make really good friends in a very short time. — M-Net.
