Rihanna launches new album

ITN/PA
THERE was a star studded turn-out for Rihanna’s exclusive album launch in London on Monday night.
Singer Jamelia, grime star Chipmunk and others were in the crowd for the gig at Brixton Academy.
Rihanna performed tracks from her new record Rated R as well as some of her biggest hits such as Umbrella, Don’t Stop The Music and Disturbia.

She was also joined on stage by rapper Jay-Z. The pair sang his recent hit Run This Town.
It was Rih-anna’s first show since she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, back in February.
The 21-year-old — who has recently been speaking out about her assault by Brown earlier this year — wowed the audience of competition winners and guests at the academy.
Earlier in the 40-minute set, Rihanna, who was clad in a skimpy black leotard and towering heels, was joined on stage by Young Jeezy for new track Hard.
Other songs performed included new singles Russian Roulette and Wait Your Turn, and the Barbadian singer closed the show with a rendition of her massive hit Umbrella.
