Children to get toys

The toy donation, which was undertaken by the Embassy of Spain since March will see 4 600 toys being donated to children from around Zimbabwe by the Spanish organisation Fundación Crecer Jugando.
Children from 16 different centres that have benefited from the campaign will participate in this celebration presenting some of the choreographies they have been rehearsing over the past weeks with the assistance of the Outreach Programme of the Dance Trust of Zimbabwe.
One of the highlights of the day will be the presence and performances by renowned Zimbabwean hip-hop star, Stunner, and Mathias Julius with the group Mokoomba.
This campaign coincides with the commemoration of Africa’s Child Day on Wednesday, a journey in which organisations around the world draw their attention about the situation of children in Africa.
Fundación Crecer Jugando (loosely translated to English means the Grow up Playing Foundation), the toy donation campaigns is a way to remind the continent that it is every child’s right to grow up playing.
