MUTARE — Forget about ex-Big Brother Africa celebrated couple, Pokello Nare and her Ghanaian hunk Elikem Kumordzi.Forget about tweet picking on the American hottest celebrity couple, rapstar Jay Z and wife Beyonce Knowles.

An unexpected hip hop romance has just surfaced in the country’s rap industry, the Financial Gazette can exclusively reveal.
The new couple is none other than female hip hop artist Black Bird and award winning rapper Tatea Da MC.

The two have become the talk of the local rap industry as they reportedly “can’t get enough of each other’s company.”

The “industry talk” as hip hop speculation is commonly referred to, commenced during the video shoot of Black Bird’s upcoming single called “Waiting For Love.”
The romantic video — released on Monday, which features Tatea, is laced with cosy scenes of the two and has caused a stir in the rap corridors fueling rhumours that they are dating.
While Tatea could not be reached for comment, Black Bird chose to play her cards close to her chest by not opening up on her personal life.
She neither confirmed nor denied the allegations as she simply said, “Tatea and I have very good relations.”

However, the events are too much to be dismissed as a mere coincidence thereby leaving a lot of questions unanswered.
In her new single Waiting For Love is Black Bird “waiting” for Tatea’s love? And if so, is Tatea’s song Could You Be The One be about Black Bird?
If not, then why would Black Bird feature Tatea in her “romantic” song, out of all the other talented rappers she could have chosen from?
Could they be the Zimbabwean replica of Hollywood’s top actors, Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie who fell in love during the set?
Soon after the “romantic” video shoot, the pair has been spotted together on various occasions.

The two were spotted at this year’s Shoko Festival, where Black Bird was dressed in a sexy white dress while Tatea who was accompanied by his goons was in an all-black suit.
Tatea also reportedly pitched up to see Black Bird perform at The Management Group’s company launch held on October 11 at Alliance Françoise.
The Dollar Rand Naira hitmaker signed a management deal with the newly formed entertainment agency.

The event, which was attended by the who is who in the rap industry, left numerous music players intrigued by the “couple’s” closeness, fueling speculation over their love relationship.
Black Bird’s official Facebook page is awash with pictures of herself and her presumed beau, an act which has got industry cats asking further questions about what’s going on between the “Queen of the Game” and the “H-Town King”.
“Kasi makudanana? (Are you guys now dating?),” posted Rehab Entertainment producer, Anonzi Xndr Mutumha on one of their photos.
To further cement the allegations of a brewing romance, Black Bird has just dumped her former stable Mix-Masterz who are wedged in a beef with MMT (Tatea’s crew).

Could this be a professional decision or has Black Bird’s relationship with Tatea caused the split due to the beef that exists between her former producer Shayzar and her “man.”?
If the excitement caused by the industry rumours is anything to go by, then this budding romance will soon propel the celebrity couple’s status to reach that of Zimbabwe’s own “Jay-Z and Beyonce”.
