England and Arsenal striker Welbeck out for nine months after knee surgery
Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has been ruled out for nine months after having knee surgery.
Welbeck, 25, sustained the injury in the first half of Sunday’s draw with Manchester City when contesting for the ball with ex-Gunners fullback Bacary Sagna.
The England international has struggled for fitness all season, being restricted to 11 topflight appearances.
Welbeck, who scored four goals this campaign, also missed 12 matches last term due to injury. Kickoff.com
