The American actress is in the country to highlight Zimbabwe as one of the few success stories in terms of the decline in the HIV prevalence rate and increase in prevention practices in the area; show stories of hope and promote Zimbabwe as a safe tourist destination as well as position PSI Zimbabwe in the media as an important player in HIV prevention.
Messing, who is being hosted in the country by PSI for a week, has starred in movies such as A Wedding Date (2005), Lucky You (2007), The Women (2008) and Nothing Like The Holidays (2008), which won the Satellite Award for Best Actress Motion Picture Musical or Comedy at the Annual awards given by the International Press Academy in the US, among others.
