Intercorp brings best of best to HIFA

 It is this belief that has seen Intercorp Holdings (Private) Limited — a Zimbabwean-owned diversified investments company associated with well-known brands such as Just Property, Computer Troubleshooters — partnering with the Embassy of The Republic of South Africa and South African Airways (SAA) to bring in award winning South African outfit Mi Casa for HIFA 2013. Mi Casa will perform on the Main stage tomorrow in what promises to be an epic experience. Mi Casa’s performance will be preceded by Zimbabwe’s very own talented Ammara Brown (Daughter to the late great legend, Andy Brown) — look out for a surprise collaboration. Mi Casa is a hip,             cutting-edge deephouse three-member band that has caused waves across Africa, winning three South African Music Awards in 2012.
Through its subsidiary IMC (Intercrop Music Corporation), the group has already worked in a myriad of capacities with performing artists like H20, Ba’ Shupi, Tehn Diamond, Ammara Brown, Prayer Soul, Fox-a-million, Eugene “aka Monkey”, Adonis, Pride Priestly, GreenHeart RSA, U4US based in Bulawayo, Magaya Brothers and Prozak Nation. The entity has also worked with producers and music gurus such as Mix Masters, Ronny J Drizz, Kelly Rusike and Bernie Bismark.
Speaking on behalf of the board, Munyaradzi Chiura said, “We are proud to be associated with the arts and a festival of international stature like HIFA. Although we came on-board late, at the request of BB Music, for us this is a great platform to interact with other local corporates and members of the diplomatic community. Intercorp believes in the place that the arts have in providing sustainable employment to our young people and also the value chain which can contribute meaningfully to the rebuilding of our economy.”
He also said they identified with the HIFA 2013 theme “What Next …” as it is provokes thought leadership and inspires infinite possibilities of where we can go and what we can achieve as Zimbabweans working together and with the international community. Intercorp is certainly looking forward to playing its part in inspiring Zimbabwean citizens in rebuilding of the economy and taking it to new heights along with other likeminded corporates through its ideal of “creating sustainable value, together”.
