It’s time for Golden Globes again
DStv’s exciting coverage of the awards kicks off with E! Entertainment’s live from the red carpet on Monday 1am Central African Time (CAT).
This will be followed by DStv’s live coverage of the main event, the 67th Golden Globe Awards on M-Net Movies 1 at 3am CAT.
The event will be broadcast live across Africa from The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California, US.
Of the films nominated Up In The Air leads the pack with six nominations followed by Nine with five and Avatar and Inglourious Basterds with four each.
Up In The Air also received a Best Actor nomination, George Clooney, while Anna Kendrick is up for best supporting actress against co-star Vera Farmiga. The film is also nominated for best drama and Jason Reitman is up for best director.
Meanwhile Best Actress nominations went to Sandra Bullock for football film The Blind Side and veteran Helen Mirren for the film, The Last Station. They are joined by Emily Blunt (The Young Victoria, Carey Mulligan (An Education) and newcomer Gabourey Sidibe (Precious).
In the Best Actor category, Clooney is nominated alongside Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart), Colin Firth (A Single Man), Morgan Freeman (Invictus) and Tobey Maguire (Brothers).
In the Best Film category Up In The Air will go up against Avatar, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds and Precious for top honours.
