Jerome Boateng considered leaving Bayern Munich last season

BAYERN Munich defender Jerome Boateng admits he considered leaving the Bundesliga giants at the end of last season.

The Germany international joined the Bavarians in 2011 from Manchester City, and has gone to play a key role in the the club’s success in years gone by.

Boateng revealed he did speak to the club’s director about a possible move away in the last transfer window.

“I had a conversation with the directors about how they see me in the summer, I said I was thinking about it [a transfer],” Boateng told Kicker.

Boateng was also asked about the return of Jupp Heynckes, who took over from Carlo Ancelotti for the rest of the season.

“His attitude that he wants to give something back to FC Bayern is very positive for us as a team,” he added.

“There are not many managers who have such a keen sense of how to deal with players, their approach, their training, their motivation.” –kickoff.com
