Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly extended star forward Khama Billiat’s contract by another year.

The Zimbabwean has arguably been the star player in the PSL this season, and has reportedly attracted interest from French Ligue 1 sides Monaco and Lille.

It was thought he could make a move when his contract expires at the end of the season, but Sundowns have move quickly to tie him down for another 12 months.

“Khama joined Sundowns [in 2013] on a three-year deal, which means his contract was going to expire at the end of June this year,” the Sowetan quotes a source.

“But the club has taken their one-year option, so he will be around until the end of next season at least and he may stay longer depending on whether he signs a new contract.”

Billiat has been in fine form alongside fellow frontmen Leonardo Castro and Keagan Dolly, with the infamous ‘CBD’ propelling Downs to the top of the table. kickoff.com
