Who is Beverley Culverwell?
“She brought her children up very well . . . She has a heart bigger than Africa and I am sure God has blessed her to bless others. In fact, she is my second mother.”
From the description given above, Beverley is first and foremost, a mother, a friend and carer and more. However, the description would seemingly not suit someone with 30 years experience in the petroleum industry and who has held a number of senior positions in leading corporations in Zimbabwe and abroad.
Besides successfully bringing up a family of four — three girls and a boy (Kristal being the youngest) — she is “fairly traveled”, she says, having been to the United Kingdom and Europe and most African countries. She is also involved in charity work where she supports some charities.
Despite the chronic hardships that befell the country in the last few years, she “refused” to leave, despite several offers abroad.
“I am very happy here. I am a Zimbabwean and I love my country . . . I will never leave Zimbabwe.” — Staff Reporter.
