WildFin expanding operations

Wildfin Financial Services (WildFin) says it has experienced remarkable growth and evolution since its modest inception, employing strategic approaches to expand operations, establish branches throughout Zimbabwe, and venture into the Zambian market.

David Mantiziba the founder and chief executive was recently acknowledged at the Young Business Leaders in Zimbabwe 2024 Awards.

Last year he was awarded the Young Corporate Director of the Year and received the Platinum Award from the Zimbabwe CEO Network which he said is an honour and a source of motivation.

“It was an honour being awarded the Young Director of the Year by the Institute of Corporate Directors. These awards gave us more energy to continue pushing. Our next stop is to represent our nation in Africa and to be recognised under Forbes Africa,” he said.

“When you examine Wildfin microfinance, you’ll discover an extensive branch network spanning cities like Zvishavane, Kadoma, Chinhoyi, and Chitungwiza.

Setting us apart as trailblazers, Mantiziba said WildFin was the first microfinance institution in Zimbabwe to offer civil servants the convenience of applying for loans or products from their homes via our mobile app and WhatsApp chatbot, resulting in a substantial civil servant portfolio.

“As I reflect on our journey, I’m humbled by the grace that has propelled our rapid growth. The key to our speed lies in the exceptional team I have the privilege of working with—a young, energetic group that makes immense sacrifices to drive us forward.

“My strategy has always centered around assembling the right team with the right attitude because I firmly believe that success hinges on these qualities.

“Furthermore, we hold innovation as our guiding principle. While the world ensures everyone receives a share of the market, innovative and creative people secure the largest piece of the cake. As we look ahead, we have an exciting roadmap for the year because the average is not in our vocabulary. If we don’t redefine the borrowing landscape in Africa as Wildfin, no one else will.”

Under the firm’s portfolio is the WildFin Smart Loan App which has revolutionised the microfinance sector, enhancing the borrowing experience for civil servants by introducing ground-breaking features that streamline the loan application process and provide convenient access to financial services, ultimately empowering individuals with greater control over their finances.

“I was astounded by the remarkable impact of our Wildfin Smart loan app on the market, as civil servants across Zimbabwe responded overwhelmingly with close to a million views on our platforms within just two months of its launch.

“The convenience and efficiency of our app pleasantly surprised civil servants, who can now effortlessly apply for loans or products without the need to visit our offices.”

Through our innovative features, Mantiziba said civil servants have the assurance of a reliable financial experience, with the ability to select desired products or apply for cash loans from the comfort of their own homes.

No longer burdened by long queues or transportation costs, WildFin’s partnership with numerous agents facilitates seamless product delivery and provides invaluable support throughout their financial journey.

In addition to his role at WildFin, Mantiziba became involved in Eazi Apps, a tech company specializing in mobile app and software development, through a strategic partnership that has significantly enriched his business portfolio, allowing for expanded offerings and greater technological capabilities.

“The rapidly advancing world of technology prompted me to make a wise decision of acquiring the UK franchise, considering the exceptional talent possessed by my partners in software and mobile app development. Being in partnership with them has not only supported my other ventures but also alleviated any apprehension I may have had about innovating, as I am fortunate to have skilled individuals from the UK assisting me in bringing my technological visions to life,” Mantiziba further said.
