Pro Crafters aims to spark entrepreneurship
PRO Crafters Zimbabwe, a vibrant community dedicated to showcasing Zimbabwe’s rich artisan heritage, is set to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit with its inaugural Small Business Expo 2024.
Taking place at Oriel Boys High School form June 8 to 9, this landmark event will gather a diverse array of small businesses and crafters under one roof, offering a platform for networking, learning, and growth.
Barbs Conradie, the passionate chief executive of Pro Crafters Zimbabwe, shared the inspiration behind the expo, stating, “We saw a need to create a space where entrepreneurs could not only showcase their unique products but also connect with like-minded individuals and access the resources necessary to elevate their businesses.”
The expo promises a dynamic experience, filled with high-quality handmade products, interactive workshops, insightful panel discussions, live demonstrations, and valuable networking opportunities.
Conradie further emphasized the expo’s commitment to local artisans and businesses, saying, “Our goal is to empower these individuals by providing them with a platform to shine, connect with potential customers and collaborators, gain exposure, and access invaluable resources and information to help them thrive.”
This year’s expo is expected to surpass previous editions in scope and impact, featuring expanded exhibition space, a wider variety of vendors, interactive product demonstrations, and engaging panel discussions on current industry trends.
Attendees can look forward to an immersive and enriching experience that celebrates creativity, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by small businesses in the wake of recent global events, the expo will also offer support and guidance to help entrepreneurs navigate issues such as supply chain disruptions and shifting consumer behavior.
“We understand the obstacles businesses are facing,” Conradie said, “and we want to equip them with the tools and knowledge they need to overcome these challenges and succeed.”
The expo will feature a lineup of industry experts and successful entrepreneurs who will share their insights and expertise on various topics, including business growth strategies, marketing trends, and sustainable practices.
“We believe that by fostering a supportive and collaborative environment,” Conradie stated, “we can elevate the crafting industry in Zimbabwe to new heights.” Participants will have ample opportunities for networking, connecting with potential customers, partners, suppliers, and mentors.
The expo aims to foster valuable relationships that can lead to future collaborations and growth opportunities.
Interested individuals and businesses are encouraged to get involved by becoming exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, workshop facilitators, or attendees.
They can also show their support by promoting the event on social media and spreading the word within their networks.
