Depp’s Dogs Must Leave Australia Or Face Death

JOHNNY Depp has just two days to take his dogs out of Australia or face them being put down.

The movie star and his wife Amber Heard flew by private jet to Australia with his Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo last month.

He is in the country filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – the fifth movie in the blockbuster series.

However it is understood he failed to tell the authorities about his prize pets – and was rumbled after pictures emerged of them visiting a dog grooming salon Happy Dogz in Maudsland, Queensland.

“Just because he’s Johnny Depp does not mean he’s exempt from Australian law,” Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce said.
“There is a process if you want to bring animals – you get the permits, they go into quarantine and then you can have them.

“It’s time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States.

“He’s now got about 50 hours left to remove the dogs. He can put them on the same charter jet he flew out on and fly back out of our nation.

“He can send them back or we will have to euthanise them.”

Asked if his tough stance may affect Depp’s view of him, Mr Joyce replied: “I don’t think Mr Depp will be inviting me to the grand opening of the Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Lianne Kent, the owner of Happy Dogz, said Depp’s dog handler asked if she could bring the animals in to be groomed after the parlour closed.
“She said they belonged to Johnny Depp and asked what time I was closing as it would more private then,” she told Sky News.

“She came back after 4pm and supervised me grooming them.”

She said she feels sorry for the dogs now.

“I was honoured to groom them but I don’t like what’s happened. They’re poor puppies and I can’t imagine they’ll be put down,” she said.

“What I’ve heard is they’re going to send them back home.”

A petition on Change.org for the dogs not to be destroyed has gathered more than 3,000 signatures. -SkyNews.com
