DHL showcased the Webb Ellis Cup in Manchester on Monday as part of the trophy’s 100-day UK and Ireland tour.

LOGISTICS brand DHL is the official logistics partner of the Rugby World Cup 2015, taking place from 18 September to 31 October in 11 host cities across England.

Event and sponsorship activation agency Brand Brewery has been brought in to execute a series of 10 activation events on behalf of DHL in cities including Edinburgh, Cardiff, Dublin and London.

The Manchester showcase incorporated a customer preview at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel and a dedicated employee event at the DHL Manchester Service Centre.

Guests enjoyed a drinks reception with former England rugby player and DHL ambassador Mark Cueto, posing for pictures with him and the trophy, followed by a networking lunch and interactive quiz.

Claire Evans, managing director of Brand Brewery, said: “We are very excited to be involved in the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour and to work with DHL Express organising sponsorship activations throughout the country. This work continues to reflect our close ongoing relationship with DHL providing both global and UK brand experiences.”

Karren Piesley, head of sponsorship at DHL, added: “We are thrilled to be the official logistics partner to Rugby World Cup 2015 and have a huge role to play supporting an international event of this scale. The Trophy Tour is a once in a lifetime experience for rugby fans to see the iconic Webb Ellis Cup and it really gets you excited for the tournament.”
