AUTHORITIES are set to introduce a new set of levies on imported grain and oil seed products as they intensify efforts to finance irrigation expansion, reduce food import dependence.

This is being done in preparation of the anticipated El Nino weather conditions expected to affect the 2026/27 summer cropping season.
